Ode to a Washer

Silently sitting, waiting for me
To come and fill you up, my friend.
White and happy, smell so clean,
How you've come to mean so much to me.

This week especially
You've proven yourself
Not once complaining
At all the work you've done.

Happily singing a pounding song,
"I'll get them clean, I'll get them clean"
Even after 32 loads
In less than seven days.

Washing machine,
I salute you,
and thank you for your help so dear.
Because of you we have something to wear!

Of course, there have been many family and friends that have helped tremendously, but I just had to have a little fun!!

Photos of my trusty washer, used so often these past five years.  What a great invention!!!
